Zurich Oberland Steam Train

Every second Sunday, railroad fans can undertake a trip on one of the historical trains operated by the Zurich Oberland Steam Train Association.

Between May and October, railroad fans of all ages can undertake a trip on one of the historical trains operated by the Zurich Oberland Steam Train Association (DVZO).

From May to July, steam trains run between Bauma and Hinwil on the 1st and 3rd Sunday. In August, historic trains with electric locomotives run on the 1st and 3rd Sunday. And in the months of September and October, the steam trains are running again on every Sunday. The carriages cross eight bridges and pass by 40 railroad crossings. It is not necessary to book in advance unless you want to travel in the dining car.

Incidentally, the DVZO also offers private trips for groups or clubs along the Bauma–Hinwil route at any time.
