The Höllgrotten Caves, with their fascinating array of stalactites and stalagmites, are situated amidst the ruggedly romantic valley of the River Lorze, not far from Baar.
Having been formed by calcareous springs over the course of thousands of years, the Höllgrotten Caves near Baar were discovered at the end of the 19th century, while tuff was being mined from a nearby quarry. You explore the spectacular dripstone caves together with an expert guide. The stalagmites and stalactites in all their various hues give each cave its own character. This underground fairytale world is well lit and the caves are connected by good pathways.
