bQm Kulturcafe & Bar

Not just students, but also lecturers, staff from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology ETH and Zurich University, as well as guests who have nothing to do with the universities, meet during the week at the popular bQm bar below the Polyterrasse.

Beer and various snacks, such as slices of pizza, toasted sandwiches or French fries, are sold here at fair prices. The furnishings are simple yet comfortable – in keeping with the bar’s name, bQm (“bequem”), which means “comfortable” in German. The bQm is also something of an insider tip, for besides the relaxed atmosphere, the spacious terrace offers a spectacular view over the whole of the city of Zurich.

There is also a varied entertainment program, with quiz evenings, concerts and other creative events.
